Growing up, we all had dreams about the future and we even went ahead to plan about at what age we would like different events to happen in life. I know this is relatable being that we have all had dreams and desires in life, right? Well, this has come along with disappointments, feelings of inadequacy, lamentations, sadness and even feelings of despair.
When my clock says it’s 10:00 am, the same clock reads otherwise in Germany. Why? simply because the time zones are different. This is the same way our timing is so different from God’s timing and even when we do not understand why things are not taking course as we had planned, His clock says it’s not yet time. In Isaiah 60:22 the bible says “When the time is right, I the Lord will make it happen”. The most beautiful part about this verse is that it won’t just happen but God will make it happen and He won’t just make it happen but rather will make it happen at the right time.
Happening is one thing and God making it happen at the right time is another thing.
God’s own timing is perfect and He doesn’t show up earlier or later, Ecclesiastes 3:11, He beautifies everything in its own time. I mean He is the creator of time too and that means He wouldn’t miss it even with a second. Right on time!!!
Your plans are not so big before Him that He can’t accomplish but He has the perfect plan for you as He has promised in Jeremiah 29:11. So what you need to do is just commit your plans to Him and allow Him take control and beautify things at His own appointed time and when His clock says the time is right.
Is there an author who doesn’t know the content in a book they have written and when events will unfold? There you have it. Trust in Him and His perfect timing even when it seems like it’s taking forever. A thousand years is like a day before Him.
